Fatback is a an old school, funk and soul dance party that happens once a month on the third Saturday of each month. There is no cover and no dress code so come as you are. Over the years it has changed locations and now due to its growing popularity, it has taken over LIV Nightclub, which boasts the two floors right above Bohemian Caverns on U Street. Fatback, as my friend so perfectly described, is like hipster prom. The crowd is decidedly hipster but anyone and everyone fits in. The music is great and the dance floor is a hot, sweaty, and raucous scene.
